Keelin Eder
As a senior in U of I’s School of Music, I am currently pursuing a degree in harp performance. Growing up in Effingham, IL, I began playing the harp when I was eleven years old and have been in love with music ever since. I enjoy being principal harp of both the University’s orchestras and bands, as well as being a concert solo artist and freelance harpist. One of my passions is to “gig” at weddings, parties, restaurants, and hotels. I love performing for others and making people happy with my music. In addition to my love for harp and music, I have a variety of interests. I enjoy being with people, volunteering, going to Illini sporting events, and working out. Presently, I hold the position as the undergraduate student worker in the School of Music Admission’s Office. I view this job as a stepping stone to my future career. After graduation I would like to work in the field of arts administration, whether through an orchestra, opera, or theatre company, or through a University. I would like to find a job in which I will be able combine my knowledge of music and working with others. I believe that this class will help guide me to find the perfect job.
